Although the road towards Extreme Rules, WWE's next PPV, is still long, the card of the most extreme event of the year is starting to take shape. The 13th edition of Extreme Rules will be held on Sunday, September 26 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, five weeks away from SummerSlam.
The construction of the event is, therefore, quite slow given the enormous distance from the most important event of the summer, but in the last episode of Raw, several titled matches were announced that enrich the show card.
Pending the final clash with Goldberg, Bobby Lashley will again be called upon to defend his WWE Championship and will do so against half of the red show's duo champions: Randy Orton. After the two had already faced off last week, in the opening segment of Monday night's Raw episode The Viper advanced his challenge to the All Mighty WWE Champion; a challenge that has been accepted and a match that is now official for Extreme Rules.
As seen at the end of the episode, Bobby Lashley will try to snatch the couple titles from the life of Randy Orton when next week he will face the RK-Bro together with MVP in a match valid for the Raw Tag Team Championships.
New details on the Extreme Rules card
But in the latest episode of Raw, US champion Damian Priest also met his next challenger. After defeating Drew McIntyre and Sheamus in a triple threat match with the title up for grabs last week, it was announced that McIntyre and Sheamus would compete again this week with a United States Championship title shot up for grabs for Extreme Rules.
After a close match, Celtic Warrior got the better of Drew Mcintyre and will face Damian Priest on September 26th in a rematch of their clash at SummerSlam, during which Priest became US champion. Finally, a further match was sanctioned after the end of the episode of Raw last night.
During the episode, Charlotte Flair defeated Nia Jax keeping the Raw Women's Championship also thanks to the interference of Shayna Baszler, but after the meeting, Alexa Bliss returned to threaten The Queen and made it clear her intentions to make her the women's belt of the red show.
Charlotte Flair vs Alexa Bliss is now official for Extreme Rules and the Raw Women's Championship will be up for grabs. Roman Reigns will feature on a WWE RAW show later this month, along with The Usos, as well as Big E - all four who are part of SmackDown.
