A new episode of Monday Night Raw went on stage tonight. Many interesting matches and the construction of Vince McMahon's company continues in view of the next Extreme Rules Pay Per View, scheduled for next September 26th.
Among the most anticipated matches there was a meeting to decree the first challenger for the US Champion Damian Priest, a meeting between Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Psychopath looked more nervous than usual (almost ready for some changes...) and dominated the race far and wide, but in the end it was The Celtic Warrior who took the win.
At Extreme Rules Damian Priest and Sheamus will compete for the title of Us Champion and during the episode we saw the former NXT champion getting charged and launching the challenge to the opponent.
Sheamus on Damian Priest
Backstage Sheamus wanted to respond to the champion and made some statements in view of their match: "All that matters is that I am now on track to win the US title, my gold that damn Damian Priest stole from me.
removing the mask from my face. Tonight Drew also wanted to use this ploy to cheat me, but the Celtic Warrior doesn't let himself be fooled twice, Damian is having a short run but this is real life and soon his story will end."
During a recent interview with ComicBook microphones, Sheamus told, leaving everyone amazed, as in 2019 after a concussion he was really afraid of the withdrawal: "I can't lie, in 2019 I had a bad concussion and from it they came so many problems.
I had to undergo therapy, but at the same time I was working to maintain a great physical shape. I worked hard to get back into the ring and on my return I was fine, I've never been better indeed and all my work has paid off, that's what counts and I was even better than when I debuted in WWE."
Speaking on Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast, the Irishman said he recently clarified reports about morale in another interview. He added that WWE stars still get along and joke around with each other backstage.
“I said a while ago about the locker room, I talked about a couple of releases,” Sheamus said. “No one ever wants to see releases, you know, I lost a lot of friends who are no longer with the company. They asked me how the atmosphere was.
I said the atmosphere’s good, and then obviously Sheamus is lying because how can the atmosphere be good?"
