Becky Lynch discusses her current character

Since her return, Becky Lynch has really created a lot of controversies, because while the fans are delighted to have her back, on the other hand, her booking of Summerslam has really angered many people. The thing that certainly struck the most is that it seems that the Irishman has now become a heel, which the WWE had also tried to do in 2018 with poor results because the WWE Universe still continued to cheer for her.

Recently Dutch Mantell, former WWE manager, wanted to tell her about it: “The audience is really conflicted about the character of Becky Lynch. People are unable to take a definite and unambiguous position. I am not a big fan of this type of situation and I have already repeated several times that I do not agree with the choice of turning her into a heel character."

Interviewed by Kate Feldman of the New York Daily, Becky Lynch wanted to answer all these rumors about the change that her character has undergone since her return after several months of absence due to pregnancy.

"I just got back and now I feel like suddenly there's this conversation that I'm not doing things right, but I don't know what they expect me to do... I just did what a smart person would do. If you haven't fought in a long time then you need to strategize.

Strategize because you haven't been in the ring with this person, so you're going to do something different. And now suddenly I'm the bad guy because I'm back in better shape than ever? I don't really understand this talking about me as if I were a heel.

I haven't changed, I've just gotten smarter." Becky Lynch made her big return to WWE at SummerSlam 2021 and squashed Bianca Belair in 27 seconds to win the SmackDown Women's Championship. The current champion has previously made it clear that she would love to become a major name in Hollywood as well.

Lynch recently told NY Daily News that The Rock is a great friend of hers. However, the SmackDown Women's Champion believes she is on a different path than the WWE legend: “I hope I can be bigger than The Rock and better than The Rock.

The Rock is a good friend. The Rock is a great friend. But I’m on a different path and I’m different from The Rock and I’m not trying to be the next anybody. I’m the first Becky Lynch," said Lynch.
