The match for the women's title between Friday Night Smackdown champion Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair was staged this night. The two staged a very interesting match, however, which ended with a No Contest and disqualification due to the intervention of the returning Sasha Banks who attacked both contenders and gave an important signal for the belt.
Becky Lynch in turn returned to SummerSlam by surprise after Sasha was deemed medically unfit to play a match. The surprise return of The Boss saw her win the match titled in that Pay per View in a few seconds and from that moment she is the undisputed champion of Smackdown.
Becky has arrived at SmackDown as a last-minute substitute, but now that as Wrestling Inc says Sasha is ready there is curiosity about how the Stamford company will handle the situation and the storyline between the three.
How does WWE view Becky Lynch?
Becky Lynch, also known for being Seth Rollins' real-life wife, is one of WWE's leading female stars and the latest rumors say WWE is happy with Becky's work so far. In particular, according to what Fightful Select reports, the WWE and the whole backstage are very satisfied with the storyline that has involved Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair in recent weeks and above all Lynch has fully impressed the leaders since the day of her return to WWE.
As for Sasha Banks, it was reported that the wrestler had been ready to return to the ring for several weeks but she still had to return as the Friday Night Smackdown creative team had no plans for her. The feud between Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks never ended due to the latter's forfeit at SummerSlam, while Banks had nothing pending against Becky except that belt that could soon lead the three contenders to compete.
From today on there is a third inconvenience in the titled round of the blue show and she is back in the ring hungrier than ever. As part of his recent appearance on The Broken Skull Sessions with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rollins revealed Becky Lynch's reaction when he popped the question on a beach in Maui.
"I didn't really have a plan; I had a ring, but I didn't have a plan. We will wing it. We will wing it. We'll see what happens, and we had gone through, and we had come around this corner, and the sunset was going down over the pacific and I was, like, oh let's stop and take some pictures it'll be really nice," said Seth Rollins.
