In recent months there has been a lot of rumors about a new tournament totally dedicated to WWE female athletes, with a new format similar to the King of the Ring, which should finally soon enter the Stamford-based company's television screens, to restore parity also.
from this point of view in the federation. After years in which we have seen the most disparate kings of the ring alternate, from Triple H to Sheamus, passing through "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Baron Corbin, now the time would finally come for women to emerge as "Queen of the Ring", with the name of this already famous tournament that seemed to change every week, with the WWE never giving official confirmations, even if it went several times to buy names and put brands on this product not yet aired.
Apparently, according to the words of a well-known overseas journalist, we have come to the conclusion that this tournament will not be called "Queen of the Ring", but will have a very similar name.
Latest update on the Queen of the Ring
As reported in the last few hours by the microphones and tweets of the well-known Andrew Zarian, it would seem that the WWE has already formalized the name of its all-female tournament, which instead of being called "Queen of the Ring", as many thought, will be called instead "Queen's Crown Tournament." Apparently, moreover, the final of this tournament will be held in Crown Jewel, Arabian ppv of the Stamford-based company, which should air this month of October, before the Survivor Series, then.
For the Saudi Arabian PPV, several very important matches have already been rumored, such as the second clash between Bobby Lashley and Bill Goldberg, the title match valid for the Universal Championship between Brock Lesnar and the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, or the third episode of the saga Edge-Seth Rollins.
We will see when the WWE will formalize the date and the card of the ppv, which is not yet talked about on the company's television screens. If these dates don't change, the tournament will begin following this year's WWE Draft.
So unless there are RAW and Smackdown bracket sides with the two winners of each bracket facing each other at a pay-per-view, the WWE Draft will immediately be marginalized by this tournament. As for the finals, Zarian reports that he would have the date of the finals later on today.
But as of this writing, there is no further information about when the finals of this tournament will take place.
