Wrestling legend pays tribute to Paul Heyman

Paul Heyman is still one of the most recognizable faces in WWE today, having gone through several eras in which he has held a large number of roles. In addition to having personally contributed to the rise of Extreme Championship Wrestling in the 1990s, he has also offered decisive support to WWE in recent decades.

Between 2019 and 2020, he was designated as the executive director behind the scenes of Raw (after having long served as Brock Lesnar's attorney). In the August 28, 2020 episode of SmackDown, he made his return to television screens as Roman Reigns' special consultant.

The collaboration between the two turned out to be extremely fruitful, so much so that the 'Tribal Chief' was able to experience the best moment of his entire career. Following Brock Lesnar's return in the SummerSlam finale.

Heyman has taken an even more prominent position. As seen in recent weeks, Paul has had more time in front of the cameras to produce fun content and add further spice to the aforementioned feud. Interviewed by Rick Ucchino for Sportskeeda, pro-wrestling legend Dutch Mantell had wonderful words for Paul Heyman.

Dutch Mantell praises Paul Heyman

“He's doing an exceptional job to say the least. She plays this role perfectly and can go from being very arrogant to getting down on her knees to ask Roman Reigns for mercy. In a way, you almost feel sorry for him at times.

Paul Heyman is super credible in everything he does, an uncommon skill in the wrestling business. A lot of the guys give you the feeling they're acting, while he looks just like that,” Mantell explained. During the last episode of SmackDown, Brock Lesnar revealed that he is a free agent, giving credit to Paul Heyman, which risks creating another rift between the latter and Roman Reigns.

The Beast and the Universal Champion will face Crown Jewel, the highly anticipated event that will be staged in Saudi Arabia in a few weeks. Paul Heyman, who has been Brock Lesnar's advocate in the past, is in an uncomfortable position.

He attempted to make Lesnar understand that both he and Reigns can rule the WWE if he eyes a different title but to no avail. WWE has now made Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns official for Crown Jewel 2021. Heyman posted a tweet hyping up the match with a photo from a recent Brock Lesnar shoot: "There’s a BEAST-ly barbarian storming the gates on the Island of Relevancy!" Heyman wrote.
