One of the main characters of the current WWE storylines, who currently figures as the challenger of the Friday Night Smackdown Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, is precisely his archenemy: Brock Lesnar. After making his sensational comeback in Summerslam, the former WWE Champion is back to challenge the Tribal Chief of the blue show, leaving both WWE Universe fans and his former mentor Paul Heyman shocked.
After several weeks of squabbles and fights, the news has arrived, by his own admission, that Brock Lesnar has remained a free agent in this annual draft and the athlete will thus be able to fight both in the rings of Monday Night Raw and on those of Friday.
Night Smackdown, to his complete liking, which Roman Reigns did not like at all since it was the Mad Genius who allowed it. Now the two are scheduled in a 1 vs 1 clash at Crown Jewel, the next WWE pay-per-view that will be staged on the 21st of this month and which will also see the title of Universal champion be up for grabs.
Backstage News on Brock Lesnar
Apparently, according to reports from the well-known overseas site Wrestling News, Brock Lesnar is expected to be absent for a fairly long period of time after his last Arab date, with his handsome face not returning to the WWE rings at least until January, ready to take part in the first annual Big Four: Royal Rumble.
In fact, in one of the latest updates reported on the overseas site, it is reported that: “Also, we're told how after Crown Jewel, Lesnar is no longer slated for any other WWE shows this year and the next time he's scheduled to fight is during the Royal Rumble PPV which will be staged in St Louis.
The 2022 Royal Rumble is scheduled for Saturday, January 29 at The Dome at America's Center." Apparently, another great PPV could be broadcast on Saturday and not Sunday, as has already happened this year with Summerslam.
Speaking on his podcast The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic gold medalist revealed that even though he wouldn't have wanted to fight Lesnar, he still would've done it for the right money. “I would not want to fight Brock out of respect for him and the friendship we had,” Angle said.
“But if the money were right, I know he would want to fight me and I know I would want to fight him too. It is all about money. Sometimes it kind of sucks, you can’t take that personally because you’re trying to provide money to take care of them.
That comes first before friendship, so I’m sure Brock and I, if they would’ve gave us the right figure, we probably would’ve gone at it,” said Kurt Angle.
