Becky Lynch reveals why she has moved away from social media

The past twelve months have been full of news for Becky Lynch. The Irish superstar married colleague Seth Rollins on June 29, and earlier gave birth to their first daughter - Roux - in December 2020. During her WWE career, the 34-year-old from Limerick held the SmackDown Women 's Championship four times, of which she was also the inaugural champion, and once the Raw Women's Championship, of which she holds the record for the longest reign.

She also won the 2019 edition of the Royal Rumble match and took part in the first Tables match, Last Woman Standing match and TLC match in the history of women's wrestling. After her pregnancy, Becky made her resounding return to SummerSlam, where she defeated Bianca Belair in seconds to take the title of SmackDown.

On September 26, at Extreme Rules, the rematch between the two ended with a no-contest due to the intervention of Sasha Banks. On October 4th, as a result of the draft, Lynch was transferred to the Raw roster. In a long interview granted to 'WWE UK' and reported by Sportskeeda, the champion of the blue brand justified her reduced presence on social media in recent times.

Becky Lynch on the social media

“Since I became a mother, I have realized how social media is able to influence people, especially the younger ones” - analyzed Becky Lynch. “Everything I do takes on even more weight now as a mom.

I have to be careful to use my voice appropriately” - she added. 'The Man lei' she admitted she had thought about retiring from wrestling: "I was not sure about my return to WWE, but genuinely I came back even more hungry than before.

I knew I would return to WWE at 60%, while there was a 40% chance that I would retire. I had no idea how things would go after my daughter was born. For years I have been a single woman with no priorities, but now the situation has changed considerably”.

Becky Lynch was promoted to the main roster in 2015, along with Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. Lynch did fine for herself for the next three years or so. Her mega push kicked off after SummerSlam 2018, where she turned heel on Charlotte.

The push eventually gave Lynch a WrestleMania main event. Becky Lynch recently returned to WWE TV at SummerSlam 2021 after a long hiatus due to pregnancy. She's doing some great work as a heel and is getting loud reactions from fans in attendance.
