WWE has a number of part-time wrestlers that are either legends or big superstars. They don’t wrestle every week and only turn up for special events of major PPV events. Most of these part-time performers are not liked backstage as they are usually paid very well by the WWE.
They receive special attention which many full-timers believe that they should get. This is one of the reasons why CM Punk left the company as well. He didn’t like putting over part-timer Brock Lesnar at various events.
The WWE seems to be continuing this trend of giving Brock Lesnar only a few work dates. As most people predicted, Brock Lesnar will not wrestle at the Elimination Chamber PPV. He isn’t scheduled to appear at most of the RAW events leading up to Fastlane or The Elimination Chamber either.
Lesnar will face Seth Rollins and defend his WWE Universal Title against him however. Fastlane is the last PPV event before WrestleMania, so his absence is quite surprising. The only episode that he is being advertised to appear in is the 18th March RAW Episode which will take place in Chicago.
He was previously advertised for other dates as well, but WWE has since then removed those. The last time Lesnar wrestled was at the Royal Rumble PPV. He successfully defeated Finn Balor and retained his WWE Universal Title
