Crown Jewel leaves Stephanie McMahon impressed

WWE just hosted one of the most anticipated events on its calendar, namely Crown Jewel. The Stamford-based company is slowly getting back on its feet after having to deal with the severe crisis linked to the pandemic. More than 50 superstars have been forced to pack in the past year and a half, including big names like Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Andrade, Mickie James, and even Bray Wyatt.

The show that took place in Saudi Arabia a couple of days ago was characterized by two female matches of great depth. In the first match, Zelina Vega defeated Doudrop to become the first winner of the 'Queen's Crown tournament'

Following this, Becky Lynch repulsed the onslaught of Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair while retaining the SmackDown Women's Championship. All five women showed their enormous talent in front of the world. The triple threat match between Sasha, Becky and Bianca was the high point of the whole evening.

Not surprisingly, Stephanie McMahon used her Twitter profile to express all her satisfaction.

Women protagonists at Crown Jewel

“Whenever WWE women perform on a global stage, they never disappoint. Matches staged at Crown Jewel were no exception.

I am really proud of the example these girls are setting to millions of children who admire them all over the world ”- tweeted Stephanie McMahon. The rise of the women's division was sealed with the creation of WWE Evolution, the first pay-per-view dedicated entirely to women in the company's history.

On October 28, 2018, the event was held at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. In the aforementioned circumstance, Ronda Rousey defeated Nikki Bella by submission in the main event and retained the Raw Champion title.

Becky Lynch instead folded Charlotte Flair in a 'Last Woman Standing match' for the SmackDown belt. 14-time world champion Triple H explained that the women deserved the opportunity to show everyone their skills.
