Ashante Thee Adonis is injured

In the latest episode of Friday Night Smackdown, WWE began presenting the first Superstars of the blue show who landed there with the Draft, with prominent characters coming from NXT and Monday Night Raw, which since last October 22, or from On Friday, they became full-fledged athletes on the Stamford-based company's Friday night show.

Among the many athletes nominated with the Draft to move to Smackdown, Drew McIntyre, Charlotte Flair or the entire NXT Hit Row stable also returned. Isaiah "Swerve" Scott's stable, former North American champion of the company's Tuesday night yellow show, made his first match on the blue show's rings, against local jobbers, in a contest that initially should have instead see against Jinder Mahal and Shanky, then changed at the last second by WWE.

After reading online rumors that Top Dolla would like to become the true leader of the stable, with Vince McMahon who's focusing a lot on the former football player and who would be pushing him a lot even in single, the reasons for fighting, also emerge, at Smackdown it was only Top Dolla and Swerve Scott and not Ashante Thee Adonis.

The stable formed by three men and a woman, in fact, saw only two out of three men compete in the Smackdown rings, with Ashante Thee Adonis who was completely forgotten by the in-ring activity, due to a physical problem that would have gripped the boy for some time.

Backstage news on Ashante Thee Adonis

As confirmed by the rumor of Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, during one of the latest newsletters of the online newspaper, Ashante's said to be injured: "Ashante Thee Adonis has medical problems, so he's not fighting, but he was there." At the moment it is not known exactly what kind of medical problem the boy has and above all how long it will take before the athlete fully recovers, but the fact that WWE has managed to keep the stable together, without already starting to divide it due to the boy's absence, bodes well for the future of the four former NXT athletes of the McMahon-owned company.

According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the duo were supposed to face the team of former WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal, and his ally Shanky. In another previous report, it was further suggested that WWE wanted to push Top Dolla as a singles star while they wanted to use Scott and Adonis as a tag team. However, it remains to be seen when Ashante Adonis himself will make his return to in-ring competition.
