Bad news for Jim Duggan

In recent years, WWE Legend "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, the very famous WWE athlete of the 80s and 90s, has unfortunately suffered several health relapses, being hospitalized several times in the last calendar year, but also in 2019, with the former wrestler who, however, has always recovered, with the steel temper that he has always had and which he has always shown in the rings of the McMahon-owned federation.

After several cardiac problems, which had forced him to some hospitalization, in the last period, the athlete also had to make some more specific checks, to understand what was wrong with his health, thus discovering that he had a form of tumor to the prostate, which is quite common in men over 60 all over the world, unfortunately.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan himself gave the delicate but official announcement about his illness, with a video in which he talks in the company of his wife Debra, which was then posted on his official Instagram profile.

Jim Duggan will return to the hospital

Obviously, for the period of time in which Jim Duggan will undergo the treatment and the probable operation to remove the tumor mass, the WWE Hall of Famer class 2011 will be absent from social networks, to take a period of total confidentiality, together with the family.

The wife of the former WWE athlete, however, has reassured fans of her that she will continue to report on her husband's health weekly, for fans who are worried about him. For the winner of the first historic WWE Royal Rumble, therefore, comes yet another great challenge of his life, which this time he will have to win by force: for himself, for his family, for his fans and for all those who they love.

Unfortunately, this isn't 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan's first bout with cancer, and he battled and defeated kidney cancer back in 1998. God willing, he can do it once again. Jim Duggan has had a storied professional wrestling career wrestling in WWE, Mid South, New Japan Pro Wrestling, WCW, and all points in between.

Duggan's legacy in professional wrestling is something that can never be understated. WWE fans who watched the product way back in the late 1980s must be well aware of Duggan's stint as a WWE Superstar. He signed with WWE in 1987 and made his first major appearance at WrestleMania 3, which was also his PPV debut.

Soon after, Duggan kicked off a feud with fellow WWE Hall of Famer Nikolai Volkoff. Duggan's character was of an American patriot, and he was one of the most beloved babyfaces in the late 1980s.
