The one who had the task of announcing yesterday's layoffs was John Laurinaitis. Fightful Select reported that, regarding the main roster, the man wrote, "Due to budget cuts, the following WWE talents were released today, November 4, 2021.
Thank you, John Laurinaitis." For NXT, it was written: “Due to the budget cuts, with immediate effect, we have come to the end of the relationships with the following NXT talents. We wish these individuals all the best in their future endeavors."
Other curiosities about the email John Laurinaitis sent
But there are also some curiosities that the site wanted to report regarding the names that were obviously included in the email that communicated the athletes who unfortunately lost their job in WWE.
For example, the name of Oney Lorcan was spelled wrong, entering "Oney Lorkan". Instead, B-Fab, a former female member of Hit Row, had been put on the NXT talent list despite the Draft having moved her to SmackDown with the whole group.
In general, the list of athletes on the main roster, to whom John Laurinaitis sent the mail, consisted of Karrion Kross, Keith Lee, Mia Yim, Eva Marie, Nia Jax, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado. Presumably, Harry Smith too, although he was not mentioned by Fighful.
While on the NXT list were: B-Fab, Scarlett Bordeaux, Franky Monet, Ember Moon, Jessi Kamea, Trey Baxter, Oney Lorcan, Jeet Rama, Katrina Cortez, and Zayda Ramier. In the last few hours, some statements about these layoffs have also come out, such as Mick Foley, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff. Even Nia Jax wanted to clarify some things that according to her have been reported badly by journalists.
