New details on 'Escape The Undertaker'

WWE superstars Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods (aka New Day) and wrestling legend The Undertaker were part of a Netflix interactive horror film titled 'Escape The Undertaker' The plot of the film is this: “The Undertaker has set a trap for the decorated tag team The New Day in his mansion.

What they don't know: Undertaker's mansion is an extreme haunted house, chock full of supernatural challenges. It is up to the viewers to decide the fate of these three poor souls as they try to survive the wrath of The Undertaker."

Vince Russo had also said his opinion on the film: "When I watched the interactive film starring the members of New Day and The Undertaker, I immediately got a very clear idea. If a 12-year-old boy sees it, it's absolutely perfect."

The Undertaker retired last year

Vince Russo believes Escape The Undertaker makes for “tremendous” viewing for children, but he does not think adults will be entertained by the Netflix special. “I started watching this like, ‘Okay, bro, I’m a 12-year-old kid watching this.’ This was 100 percent for kids.

Bro, come on, if you’re one of these 24-year-old neck beards watching this… come on, bro. But Halloween’s coming, if you’ve got the 12-year-olds, the 14-year-olds… that’s who this is for.

And if that’s the audience they were going after, bro, I thought this was tremendous. For you and me? Nah, bro, absolutely not, but it wasn’t for you and me,” Russo said. Interviewed by ComingSoon, Ben Simms, director and executive producer of the film, gave some more details on what it means to work with WWE superstars, which obviously is different than working with actors.

“We had little time. Thankfully the talents are all performers working live which is a huge plus," Simms said. "Our incredible crew was able to build and light each scene so that we could essentially shoot almost as if it were.

a live show, while maintaining the high production value and look of a movie. In any production, you will always have budget and timing issues, but this was easily the fastest I've shot." Plus he was asked about some background on working with wrestlers: "I really enjoyed choreographing and shooting the fight scene.

Having characters who are essentially their doubles was such a luxury. We had an amazing stunt team working in. collaboration with performers who knew their abilities and how to push them." Escape The Undertaker follows Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods during their hunt for The Undertaker’s urn inside the legendary superstar’s haunted mansion.

Throughout the episode, viewers can dictate what happens next in the story by choosing from various multiple-choice options.
