In the latest episode of SmackDown on November 19, 2021, Natalya reached a very important milestone for her career and for women's wrestling, especially within the WWE. In fact, she and Shayna Baszler took on the duo of Naomi and Aliyah, stealing the match, with referee Aja Smith blatantly paid by Sonya Deville to do all the dirty work in the ring.
Natalya managed to pin Naomi with a very fast count, but beyond the storyline, she reached 500 victories in the WWE ring, becoming the woman with the most victories in the company ever. During a backstage interview she, along with Shayna Baszler, also said: “With all this talk of heroes and leaders, Shayna and I, we're just here to raise the division.
With 500 wins, I'm the greatest of all time."
Natalya added yet another feather to her cap
WWE Superstar Natalya added yet another feather to her cap by raking in her 500th victory in WWE. Natalya and Shayna Baszler were scheduled to face Naomi and Aliyah in tag team action this week on SmackDown.
On Instagram, the queen of hearts, a cat lover like few people in the world, also wanted to write a message for the occasion: "This evening scored 500 wins and the most successful woman in history @wwe and I am so grateful to be in able to say this because I fought hard for it.
When you have to fight to be successful, it makes you stronger than you can imagine. There have been a lot of ups and downs for all of us, but never stop fighting for your dreams. Passion, talent and hard work cannot be stopped.
You can do it." The nice thing is that Natalya also took a long time to join the company: "When I tried to be hired by WWE, it took me about 5 years to get signed up. [...] When I tried for the first periods of getting hired, I mean, I am referring mostly to the Screwjob in Montreal, what happened in 1997, there was a lot of tension between WWE and the Hart Family.
I understood why and it was a very difficult and complicated situation, so I think that it was a great challenge at the time, to get a member of the Hart family, especially the young ones, to get hired because of the way things were and because of this conflict."
Megan Morant caught up with Natalya and Shayna Baszler backstage after the match. Megan questioned the duo about the circumstances surrounding the win and whether they thought it was a fast count by the ref.
