Edge made his WWE comeback at the 2020 Royal Rumble after a 9-year absence due to a neck injury that ended his career. Fans were simply delighted to see the Rated R Superstar return after nearly a decade. Since his return, he has never pulled back, making excellent feuds with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton, in spectacular textbook matches and very dangerous times, which he has always faced as a great professional.
Jeff Hardy, on the other hand, has already been with the company for some time and has also renewed his contract on the sole condition of having his No More Words back as a theme song, which obviously made the fans who go crazy for him very happy even though years have passed since his golden period.
Jeff Hardy is looking to reunite with his brother Matt Hardy one more time. SmackDown Superstar Jeff Hardy recently spoke with Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT to discuss all things WWE.
Jeff Hardy on facing Edge
"I think it’s gonna happen," Jeff Hardy said.
"I’m not sure where. That’s why it’s kind of exciting. It can happen anywhere, man. Wrestling is very unpredictable. Contracts expire. People get released. All kinds of stuff happen. So, we’ll see. I think our paths will cross [again and we’ll] reunite one more time."
Interviewed by SportsBible, one of the Hardy brothers, he revealed that he would like to renew the rivalry with his friend and colleague Edge, as long as obviously their physical health allows him, especially that of the Rated R Superstar.
"Actually, last month I talked to Edge and I think he said something like, 'I think we have to do this one more time.' Totally. Even in last year's Rumble, I didn't last long - I was in and out and he won the rumble.
I said in advance it would be nice if Edge and I had this confrontation, just for a moment because of our history. As long as he keeps his health and I mine, it's another great match." Edge has not been seen since his awesome Hell In A Cell match against Seth Rollins at WWE Crown Jewel last month.
We will have to wait and see when he returns to WWE, also because by now we have understood that he is a bit of a part-timer, but it is also right to preserve his health as much as possible and give him the opportunity to perform again if he wishes. Who knows if returning will challenge Jeff Hardy.
