Roman Reigns has been making the big deal on SmackDown over the past few months. The 'Tribal Chief' has defeated almost all the important names in the blue brand and there seem to be no more opponents like him. Superstars of the caliber of Cesaro, Edge, John Cena and Finn Balor, just to name a few, had to surrender before the Universal champion.
On the occasion of the Survivor Series, the last big PPV of 2021 which took place last weekend, Roman got the better of Big E in the 'Champion vs. Champion', despite the fact that the New Day member did all he could to achieve the feat.
It is not excluded that the WWE decides to resume the storyline between Reigns and Brock Lesnar, after the suspension of the Beast for attacking half the roster. The two have already clashed at Crown Jewel this year, with Roman coming out victorious thanks to vital help from Jey and Jimmy Uso.
In a recent Sports Illustrated interview, Paul Heyman unveiled Reigns' next goals.
Paul Heyman opens up on Roman Reigns
“Roman Reigns' next goal is very simple: he wants to become even stronger tomorrow than he is today.
The Tribal Chief wants to improve every single week, in order to make SmackDown more fascinating to the public. I believe Roman has reached a level that has never been touched in WWE history. I have the privilege of seeing the story up close every Friday,” said Paul Heyman.
Paul wanted to give advice to young talents: “If I were an emerging athlete in this company, I would not be too idle. I would try to get to the top right away. The boys don't have to settle for the seventh match of the card or to act as fillers, that's the crux of the matter.
Go out there and show everyone what you can do. If not, at least you will have no regrets. Think if in this way you hit the mark, create a bond with the public and manage to earn a lot of money. You have to take risks to be successful."
Only 11 WWE Superstars under the age of 30 were assigned to the RAW and SmackDown rosters in September 2020. Fast forward 14 months and the list below shows that 16 men and women in their 20s are currently able to appear on the two brands.
Last year, only four men were included in this category: Angel, Dominik Mysterio, Humberto, and Otis. WWE has since introduced a new crop of young male talent, with Austin Theory and Omos hotly tipped to be stars of the future.
