For the past two years Roman Reigns has been literally the protagonist and main wrestler not only of Friday Night Smackdown. An incredible series of victories, a title reign that has lasted for over 450 days and a record still in the crosshairs.
Just over a month and a half away and Roman Reigns could surpass Brock Lesnar for the longest titled reign ever, yet another reign in a career that sees the Head of the Table as the true star of the company. In recent weeks, however, there has been discussions about the future of Roman Reigns and among the various hypotheses there has also been talk of a scenario bordering on the incredible.
Latest update on Roman Reigns
During the last episode of Smackdown Roman Reigns talked about his ride, remembering his numbers but at the same time stating that, sooner or later, his adventure in WWE and in general in the world of wrestling could end and maybe only at that point, according to Roman, people might recognize it.
Here are his specific words: "I am the greatest of all time. When my days here are over, this may come sooner or later, the whole world will recognize me." What everyone is referring to is the passage of the WWE star in Hollywood with Reigns who would be ready by now to follow in the footsteps of a star like The Rock, John Cena and Batista.
In a recent interview, during an appearance on the Michael Kay Show, Roman Reigns talked about a possible move from Wrestling to Hollywood. Here are his words: “Well, we have to see. I think there may be some interesting moves in that direction soon.
There are speculations and things to see about contracts, you have to go deep into this sector and I'm ready to try my hand. This thing is something where I absolutely want to gain more experience, WWE has done me good and has given me so much, it has put so many opportunities in front of me that I had to pick up.
I like to think that along the way I have acquired many skills and these will also help me in the future." Roman Reigns was one of two champions from SmackDown who picked up a victory at Survivor Series 2021. He faced WWE Champion Big E in an entertaining match that pushed both titleholders to their limits.
The match eventually ended with The Tribal Chief standing tall after a taxing main event. After the pay-per-view, it was confirmed that Reigns' next challenger will be revealed on WWE SmackDown tonight. The video used in the post included clips of several potential challengers including Drew Mcintyre, Jeff Hardy, Sheamus, Happy Corbin, King Xavier Woods, and Sir Kofi Kingston.
