What's next for Sami Zayn?

Sami Zayn was one of the great protagonists of the last episode of SmackDown. After winning the 'Battle Royal', which allowed him to become Roman Reigns' first challenger to the Universal title, Zayn had to deal with Brock Lesnar's return to the blue show.

'The Beast Incarnate' essentially forced him to face the 'Tribal Chief' that same night, instead of waiting for the first pay-per-view of the new year (as it was originally planned). Just before the main event began, Lesnar showed up in the ring and demolished poor Sami while also inflicting a couple of F-5s on him.

At that point, it was child's play for Roman to take the win. Meanwhile, WWE has announced that Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will face off at 'Day 1', the PPV which will be staged on January 1, 2022. The two had already clashed at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, with Reigns coming out victorious.

thanks to the fundamental help of Jey and Jimmy Uso. Speaking in the latest edition of 'Busted Open Radio', Mark Henry praised Sami Zayn's stubbornness.

Backstage News on Sami Zayn

“I assure you that Sami Zayn has all the credentials to become the best heel or the best face around.

It is up to the WWE management to provide him with the right material to allow him to fully express his talent” - said Henry. “We are talking about an incredible worker, who has the ability to make everyone love him backstage.

I'm sure that sooner or later his time will come” - he continued. Mark also commented on the numerous releases made by WWE: “By analyzing what has happened in recent months, it is clear that no one is safe. The layoffs have become so many that I even laughed.

Athletes need to start looking around so they have an alternative should they leave WWE. They could try their luck in Japan, without forgetting other destinations such as IMPACT, AEW, ROH or MLW." The blue brand opened with The Beast Incarnate revealing his intention to go after the prestigious Universal Championship.

He was then confronted by Sami Zayn, who earned the right to become the #1 contender for the title after he outlasted 19 other stars to win a battle royal. Brock Lesnar demanded that Zayn face Roman Reigns that night instead of WWE Day 1, where the bout was originally supposed to occur.

Sami Zayn is one of the most talented superstars in WWE right now. He has done a phenomenal job of portraying a heel for over two years, and it's possible that he might turn babyface soon.
