In the last few hours, we talk about nothing else: two of the most important Superstars of the moment of NXT, Kyle O'Reilly and Johnny Gargano, could leave the WWE soon, after their agreement with the McMahons has expired, or only in a few days.
If O'Reilly's agreement, the former Undisputed Era still has to expire, Johnny Wrestling's would have already expired, but the athlete, by mutual agreement with WWE, would have renewed only for a few days so that he could take part in this year's edition of NXT WarGames and the weekly edition of the company's third brand's colorful show.
Apparently, neither of them would have plans to renew their agreement with the Stamford-based company, with two other big names that could thus abandon the ship of the McMahons, after the well-known Adam Cole and Daniel Bryan, both ended up in the rings of the All Elite Wrestling after their McMahon contract ended.
New details on Johnny Gargano
Despite the feeling that both Johnny Gargano and former tag team partner of Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong do not want to renew their nearly expired deal with WWE for the world, according to reports from Fightful Select, the company.
Stamford's is allegedly making false papers to keep both of them, knowing that both are on excellent terms with AEW and could thus end up in the clutches of the rival company once their deal is done. Despite the numerous no already said by the two, the WWE management would be trying to snatch the signature of Gargano and O'Reilly until the last valid second, with an increase in money that apparently would not appeal to the two, who would prefer some projects a little more serious towards them, on a creative level.
The last appearance of the two could therefore arrive this week, in the episode of NXT that will air tomorrow night, with O'Reilly who is expected in a match against Von Wagner in the cage and with Gargano who should instead take the microphone in his hand, to have a confrontation with the NXT Unverse, to which he could probably pay his last respects before abandoning the WWE boat.
So we just have to wait another 24 hours, or a little more, to know what will happen to the two great talents of NXT, who could soon return to work in independent companies, which made them grow before landing on the McMahon rings.
Gargano made his appearance at NXT WarGames 2021 as part of the Old School team, which included other WWE NXT stars such as Tommaso Ciampa, LA Knight, and Pete Dunne. But, according to rumors, this was his last match in the NXT brand.
