Roman Reigns is increasingly similar to Brock Lesnar

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar have given birth to a long rivalry over the years and are set to face off again on 'Day 1', the pay-per-view that will be staged on January 1, 2022. The two have already clashed at Crown Jewel this year, with the 'Tribal Chief' coming out victorious thanks also to the fundamental help of Jey and Jimmy Uso.

According to some rumors, WWE intends to organize a series of spectacular matches between the two biggest stars of the company and the one scheduled for January would be just one of the many meetings to be held in 2022. Dave Meltzer, a well-known correspondent for the 'Wrestling Observer', said that the role of Paul Heyman could be decisive in allowing the 'Beast' to win the Universal title again.

Reigns, for his part, played his last match against WWE Champion Big E at the Survivor Series 2021. Roman has been literally unstoppable since he took the belt and his reign has obvious similarities with that of Lesnar.

What's next for Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns?

According to wrestling expert Andrew Zarian, WWE is doing everything it can to protect Roman Reigns' image.

“They have no intention of making him lose. Roman has become the new Brock Lesnar, that is, a sort of unstoppable and unbeatable monster. The 'Tribal Chief' has held the Universal title for over 400 days and will continue to win until an opponent capable of dethroning him is faced.

I do not rule out that the chosen one may be Drew McIntyre” - revealed Zarian. During the latest edition of 'Smack Talk' on Sportskeeda, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell spoke about the new chapter in the rivalry between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.

“Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar are set to face off in the first PPV of 2022. As I see it, we're going to see more involvement from Paul Heyman. I wouldn't be surprised if Heyman helped Brock reclaim the Universal title.

It would perhaps be the most logical development” - he analyzed. Speaking to the Milwaukee Radio Group’s Don Black, Kingston praised Heyman and Reigns for their work on SmackDown over the last year: “Roman has taken his character to new heights.

He’s just so confident with himself out there and he’s grown so much. You always knew when Roman was with The Shield, he was gonna be the guy. But him stepping into this Tribal Chief role, he plays it so well. To have the addition of Paul Heyman out there, it elevates him so much."
