Bayley praises Austin Theory
A few weeks ago Austin Theory was involved in a curious storyline that saw him steal the golden egg from Vince McMahon.
Instead of punishing him, he thanked him for bringing him back (which is somewhat debatable) and gave him a title chance against WWE Champion Big E. On that occasion, it did not go well but the WWE really focuses a lot on this, considered together with Matt Riddle as one of the most interesting emerging wrestlers (Riddle is a few years older).
Emerging superstar Austin Theory talked about his childhood hero John Cena and talked about his goal for the future and Wrestlemania in a recent interview with Alternative Sport. Here are her words: "As far as I'm concerned, I love being consistent and being prepared for every match.
Yes, I think a challenge for the US title, at Wrestlemania, would be fantastic. A match for the intercontinental title, a match for a WWE title would be fantastic." While DDP thinks Reigns should be the man to face the Hall of Famer, Russo believes that a young star like Austin Theory should get the rub from Goldberg.
"People have beaten Goldberg, so Reigns beating Goldberg on his way out, I don't think it means anything. In my opinion, I think it should be somebody that WWE really wants to build and get over. I'm just going to throw this out there - and, again, I don't know how serious they are - if they really want to get Austin Theory over or somebody like that, that's going to mean something," said Russo.
