Bron Breakker launches an interesting challenge

Since its relaunch last September, NXT 2.0 has relied heavily on Bron Breakker. The son of Rick Steiner and a former football player, Breakker is impressing many people with his explosive power and is carving out more and more space in the WWE development brand.

In a recent interview with WWE El Brunch, Bron Breakker talked about a possible meeting with Brock Lesnar, recalling the sensations experienced during their first meeting backstage: "I have already met him, I think it was 2017 or so.

I was visiting Raw backstage when I was still in college. I met him on that occasion, but I've never seen him since I joined WWE. I would definitely like to work with Brock. He is an animal. I think he would be able to elevate me exactly as Roderick Strong did.

You know, he pushed me to get better and perform at his level and I think Brock Lesnar would do the same. I think it would be a real war between the two of us”. In the interview Bron Breakker referred to the match that took place in the latest installment of NXT, when he faced a veteran like Roderick Strong, for whom Breakker offered further compliments.

Bron Breakker is already an icon

Bron Breakker has been proposed by the WWE as the star of the new NXT 2.0 since its first episode and is already taking away some first satisfaction. After a Halloween Havoc defeat against champion Tommaso Ciampa, Breakker took Team 2.0 to victory in the latest edition of the War Games and is currently vying for a new title shot, probably for the next New Year's Evil special episode.

During the same interview, the second generation wrestler also stated that he would like to have the honor of defeating the universal champion of Roman Reigns and to be able to perform alongside such prominent names as Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre.

WWE was quick to realize Bron's potential. The former professional footballer is the number one contender for Tommaso Ciampa's title. He will face the two-time champion for his 'Goldie' at this week's NXT: Halloween Havoc. The last time WCW Halloween Havoc took place in 2000, Bron's uncle, Scott Steiner, challenged for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

History repeats itself as 21 years later, and we're getting another Steiner challenge for a top title in a similar backdrop.
