*Spoiler* Something strange happened during SmackDown

In the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE wanted to air the segment in which WWE Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, the company's current Universal Champion, fired and then physically attacked his former mentor/adviser, who has partnered for over a year, in one of the longest-lived kingdoms in the recent history of the federation.

After seeing Brock Lesnar return to the WWE rings at Summerslam, something in the relationship between Reigns and Heyman would have been irreparably cracked, with the words of Lesnar, week after week, having stuck the worm in the mind of the champion, until to the tragic ending of this Friday, when Reigns saw fit to fire Mad Genius live, to then attack him with a Superman Punch and even try to hit him with a Con-Chair-to, until The Beast arrived at save his longtime lawyer, knocking out the entire Bloodline from the blue show ring.

What happened on SmackDown?

This week, the rivalry between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar further picked up on WWE SmackDown. The latter played more mind games with Reigns and his special counsel before their match at WWE Day 1.

According to what was stated by the pages of the well-known site Ringside News, the management of the WWE, formed by Vince McMahon, Bruce Prichard and several other important characters of the WWE backstage, seem to have kept, what they wanted to put on stage with the Universal champion and his manager, a secret, so much so that several members of the creative team were literally amazed by what was going on, without anyone knowing anything.

Apparently, Vince and associates had said there would be a final segment involving Lesnar, Reigns and Heyman, but no one but those directly involved, Vince McMahon and a few other selected insiders, knew anything. By writing and fixing their promos and segments themselves, both Heyman and Lesnar and Reigns were able to keep everything as secret as possible, making the biggest surprise possible from the latest episode of Friday Night Smackdown, which all athletes wanted.

and the performers involved. Apparently, the segment that saw Lesnar star against Sami Zayn the week before, with Heyman unleashing the WWE "Beast" again, was wanted at the last second by Heyman himself, without the insiders of the creative team knew nothing.

WWE SmackDown decided to put two top rivalries of the women's division in one match to kick off the action. Toni Storm teamed up with Sasha Banks to compete in a tag team match against Shotzi and SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair.
