Construction continues towards Day 1, this Monday Maryse was a guest at The Cutting Edge while AJ Styles and Omos will be guests at Miz TV. We will also see the evolution of the Fatal 4 Way Match issue for the WWE Champion.
The show begins with Bobby Lashley, last week's star, entering the ring alongside his trusty MVP. He invites the crowd to worship The All Mighty, the one who beat all three of his challengers last week. But Big E enters who praises Lashley for his successes but tells him that he should be dominant alone and not with outside help (reference to MVP), Lashley replies that he would have won anyway.
Another chapter was written in the rivalry between Bianca Belair and Doudrop on WWE RAW. The former went for the KOD early, but her opponent countered and rolled out of the ring.
Bianca Belair def. Doudrop
Doudrop rocked Bianca Belair with a cannonball for a near-fall before the former SmackDown Women's Champion fought back.
She hit a crossbody from the middle rope followed by a handspring moonsault for a two-count. Meanwhile Bobby leaves the ring while MVP threatens Big E with his stick, meanwhile Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins enter who attack Lashley and send him to the post, Big E comes to his rescue and the champion with Lashley send out the two Heels.
We now know that in the Main Event there will be a Tag Team Match between the four opponents on Day 1. Coming from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, WWE fans witnessed the spectacular action. The Survivor Series 5-on-5 women’s match got an unexpected result.
Until now, Team Raw has dominated the Women’s 5-on-5 match, defeating Team SmackDown 4 times. From 2016, Women’s Team SmackDown hasn’t won a single match at the Survivor Series. Toni Storm got Team SmackDown off to a solid start.
As the first elimination, she eliminated Carmella from Team Raw. She also put up a valiant battle against the other members of Team Raw, eventually defeating Queen Zelina. However, Liv Morgan eliminated Toni Storm to become Team SmackDown’s first elimination.
For a few minutes, the fight between Bianca Belair and The Boss Sasha Banks grabbed the spotlight until Sasha got counted out. Her elimination came as a consequence of a confrontation with her own teammates. With this win, Team Raw has registered a 5-1 score at the Survivor Series.
The match should have been in the bag for Team SmackDown, but Belair defied all odds to be the Sole Survivor.
