During the last episode of his Wooooo Nation UNCENSORED podcast, Ric Flair wanted to talk about his 2002 match against Brock Lesnar. Lesnar made her WWE debut in the spring of 2002, and The Next Big Thing quickly became the company's most popular star.
On their match, the Nature Boy said, "He took care of me. He never hurt me, he never hurt me. I tell you. When he sticks to you, you don't go anywhere. The first time I wrestled with him was the night Steve Austin left Atlanta, and Vince said, 'You're not part of RAW,' I said, "I thought I owned RAW," He said, '..
You're going to fight Brock Lesnar tonight.' " Additionally, Flair pointed out that WWE booked her encounter with Lesnar the night Steve Austin temporarily left the company. Stone Cold had to face and lose to Lesnar, but he didn't want to suffer defeat in a match that wasn't built properly.
Lesnar eventually pinned Flair to prove himself even more of a star. The three in total fought together three times.
The new Brock Lesnar
During a long interview on Sportskeeda's microphones, Drew McIntyre analyzed in detail the transformation of Brock Lesnar who is now WWE champion again.
“We had never seen this side of Brock Lesnar's character before. Before his return to SummerSlam, we had always observed the same version of the Beast. Sometimes people loved it, other times they hated it. Now fans have a chance to see a different Brock than ever before.
They understand that he can also be a fun and easygoing guy. He kept it hidden to keep his gimmick. For years he did not want the world to know, while now he is showing what it is like in everyday life. He's terrifying in some circumstances, but he can also be bright and likeable."
