Some rumors indicate that AJ Styles may stay with the McMahon-owned company for some time yet, with the athlete not willing to change the air, probably deciding to end his career there. The Phenomenal One has been a part of WWE for six years now when it debuted at the 2016 Royal Rumble making the WWE Universe very happy.
Lately, however, he has been involved in a storyline with his bodyguard, Omos and with a future star of the ring, Greyson Waller, who is cutting his teeth at NXT 2.0.
AJ Styles does not move from WWE
As reported by Dave Meltzer in his Wrestling Observer Radio, Styles has signed a contract between three and five years with WWE: "No, it's not going anywhere.
He just signed, I don't know if it's a three-year deal or a five-year one. It wasn't that long ago when he signed. It's not going anywhere. He had a chance to go if he wanted to, but he wasn't interested. Someone certainly approached him and they were approaches that involved money, but in his head, I think he's relegated to life there.
Whether it's the right or wrong decision, I can't tell you." Speculations about his WWE exit escalated after he was squashed from Omos to RAW recently. Reports had previously suggested that Styles signed a three-year contract in 2019, which means it will expire this year, so you have to see what actually happens.
After this renewal Styles stated that this would be his last contract in the world of professional wrestling, because his desire is to spend more time with his family, so it is necessary for him to leave the ring permanently.
There has also been speculation that The Phenomenal One could go to AEW to reunite with the Young Bucks, rumors AJ Styles himself confirmed in 2020.
