Booker T reveals the possible future of pro wrestling

WWE has paid dearly for the effects of the global pandemic, which has also brought the sports entertainment industry to its knees. Over the past year and a half, the Stamford-based federation has been forced to release large numbers of superstars and behind-the-scenes insiders.

The simultaneous rise of All Elite Wrestling has certainly not helped WWE, which has seen several talents stolen from the rival company. Tony Khan's company has succeeded in hiring two true monsters of this business as CM Punk and Bryan Danielson.

In the 'war' of ratings, AEW has now taken over the WWE in the 18 to 49-year-old demographic. Recently, WWE announced that Mickie James will take part in this year's Royal Rumble match for women. According to some rumors, WWE and AEW would have had several talks on possible future collaborations.

Within his 'Hall of Fame' podcast, Booker T expressed his point of view on the subject. “I can understand that - over time - relations between WWE and All Elite Wrestling improve. I'm not going to go one way or the other, but I'd be pretty shocked if I saw any AEW stars teaming up with WWE right now.

It doesn't seem possible to me" - confided Booker T.

Booker T also took the opportunity to praise Roman Reigns. "I think he is the best ever today. His work has been truly flawless over the past two years.

All those who entered the ring with him have benefited enormously. They became better wrestlers and performers after working with Reigns, that's undeniable. He has made his opponents stronger every single time. The biggest surprise of 2021? My choice falls on Bianca Belair.

Nobody thought she was able to improve so quickly. I wouldn't want to exaggerate or put extra pressure on her, but Bianca is truly exceptional. I'm not just referring to wrestling or the sequences in the ring, but also her work ethic."

Booker T was unsure how the audience would react if an AEW wrestler like Jericho appeared at the Rumble, suggesting that he could even be booed by the fans. "Let's think about this for a second - Jericho's a*s maybe even booed out of the building, coming into a WWE arena.

We don't know what would happen. We do not know what's going to happen if something like that was to happen right now. I would not want to test the waters on something like that right now, me personally," said Booker T.
