Booker T on Lita's WWE return

Lita's return to WWE was one of the most surprising events of this first month of 2022. The latter will take part in the women's Royal Rumble match for the second time in her career, having made her debut in the contest four years ago.

In 2018, she played two more fights, both in the tag team category, only to not set foot in the ring again. In addition to her, the Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie Bella) will also participate in this edition of the Royal Rumble.

It is worth mentioning the presence of Michelle McCool, Summer Rae and Kelly Kelly, without forgetting the highly anticipated return of Mickie James (who is currently under contract with IMPACT Wrestling). The big favorite for the final win is undoubtedly Charlotte Flair, who hopes to become the first woman to win the women's Royal Rumble twice.

In the latest edition of his 'Hall of Fame' podcast, Booker T praised WWE's move to include Lita in the next PPV.

Booker T talks about Lita

“A lot of people have complained that Lita will take the place of some young superstar on the launch pad.

If I had to choose between an unripe athlete and Lita, I would definitely take Lita. The young star still has many years left to build her character and to earn a place at the Royal Rumble. Lita has little time and her impact will be formidable in this year's edition.

We know very well what Lita can give, all eyes will be on her" - explained Booker T. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer praised Roman Reigns: "I think he's the absolute best nowadays. His work has been truly amazing over the past two years.

All those who entered the ring with him have benefited enormously. They became better wrestlers and performers after working with Reigns, that's undeniable. He has made his opponents stronger every single time. What was the biggest surprise of 2021? My choice falls on Bianca Belair.

Nobody thought she was able to improve so quickly." She entered at number five and was dispatched by Becky Lynch after racking up two eliminations. The legendary superstar has made sporadic in-ring appearances since then, competing against the likes of Mickie James, Alexa Bliss, and old frenemy Trish Stratus.

The build-up to the Royal Rumble is in full swing and there is a tremendous amount of anticipation for what surprises the event might hold. We are sure to see a lot more news surrounding the Royal Rumble before January 29th.
