WWE finally buys the rights to Brock Lesnar's name

In recent years, Brock Lesnar has bullied himself back into the WWE rings, after years of absenteeism from the McMahon family square, with his last match before returning in 2012 to Monday Night Raw, which was eight years earlier. at Wrestlemania XX, where he finished his then stint alongside Bill Goldberg. After a few years from his return to WWE on a permanent basis, with his career as an MMA wrestler that seems to have now definitively closed, Lesnar has managed to build a real financial empire, thanks to the many millions paid out by WWE to bring him on his own screens, with the latest deals signed with Vince McMahon, which have always been above $8-9 million a year.

If all this were not enough, Brock Lesnar also had his own line of clothing, with his own brand, with the Stamford-based federation that had sold several t-shirts and various merchandising items under his name, but always with a substantial percentage that entered the pockets of the current WWE Champion.

Latest update on Brock Lesnar

After 20 years from Brock Lesnar's debut in the WWE rings, the federation would finally have decided to buy the brand on the name "Brock Lesnar", with the athlete who thus will not have rights to merchandising with his name, but surely will still have a a large part of the proceeds from the sales of its products, with the McMahon company that will now be able to manage in full the new items dedicated to the WWE Champion. Yesterday, WWE therefore registered the trademark for the following items: "BROCK LESNAR™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies; outerwear, namely, coats; bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, dresses, pajamas, lingerie, clothing ties, scarves, gloves, swimwear; Halloween and masquerade attire; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, boots; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wrist bands; bandanas; championship trophy belts." From now on, WWE will be able to release any item dedicated to its WWE Champion, with Lesnar continuing to rage in the rings of both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown, with the Wrestlemania match against Roman Reigns, which very much it will probably be the last before a long hiatus, which will lead him to leave the scene and then return to some big event or Big Four of the company. For the first time ever, the two stars will collide at the upcoming premium live event when Lesnar defends his WWE Championship against Lashley. The All Mighty earned the opportunity to face The Beast Incarnate by winning a Fatal 4-Way #1 contender match on Monday Night RAW several weeks ago.
