Rey Mysterio Speaks About Wanting a WrestleMania Moment With His Son
“There is definitely a WrestleMania moment that has yet to be seen next to my son,” Rey said. He revealed that working with his son is like a dream come true.
He still can’t believe that he is working with his son these days. “That is something that if you would have told me a year ago, that I was going to be able to share the ring with my son, let alone become tag-team champions – the first-ever in WWE – I would have said, ‘get out of here,'” Rey added.
Rey and Dominik managed to beat the team of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode at WrestleMania Backlash to win the Smackdown Tag Team Titles. They held the titles for 62 days before they lost the titles to The Usos. They lost the titles at a Money in the Bank PPV.
Since then, Rey and Dominik have started performing at RAW. Rey knows that he is at the end of his in-ring career. However, Rey is not considering retirement right now as he wants to have one big WrestleMania moment with his son.
Rey has been talking about retirement but it appears that wrestling alongside his son has reignited his fire for wrestling. He still performs very well and is able to perform the same high flying moves that he was known for 20 years ago.
He is still one of the most valuable professional wrestlers in the world. “Now things have just flourished and have manifested,” Rey Mysterio said. “I’m putting this out in the world that I want to have a WrestleMania moment with my son before I end up hanging up the mask”.
