The world of wrestling fans is increasingly in turmoil for the Royal Rumble, especially as its 2022 edition comes in a particular historical phase due to the many layoffs operated by the WWE over the last few months. This has given rise to various suggestions which also include the Forbidden Door.
But WWE may also have other plans of a different nature in mind. In fact, the authoritative 'PWInsider' reported that there could be at least two of NXT's top stars on this year's Royal Rumble night, particularly in regards to the fateful 30-man brawl.
And they also filter out some clues as to the names that might be involved. 'PWI' has indeed claimed that WWE is thinking of Bron Breakker and Gunther (formerly known as WALTER). The two could therefore present themselves in St Louis for pay-per-view, thus taking part in the men's Royal Rumble.
According to the source, it is not confirmed that the two athletes will appear on the show, but it now seems almost certain that both will be present at the arena, ready to intervene during the show if needed.
What will happen at the Royal Rumble?
We are less than a week away from arguably the most exciting WWE shows of the year as Royal Rumble 2022 is set to take place on January 29 live from The Dome at America's Center in St.
Louis, Missouri. Gunther, the former WALTER, could therefore live the most important showcase of his experience in WWE a few days after a case that indirectly concerned him and that went around the world. After his ring name changed from WALTER to Gunther Stark, in fact, the company had to hastily backtrack by abolishing the surname due to inappropriate references to the era of Nazi Germany.
"WWE filed the 'Gunther Stark' trademark on January 13 but abandoned the repository on January 19. Following the news of the filing, many fans pointed out that 'Gunther Stark' was the name of a Nazi commander.
he knew how and for whom WWE intended to use the trademark at the time of filing, "explained 'Fightful' dealing with the affair. As is well known, however, within a few hours the surname "Stark" has completely disappeared from the official character sheets.
Continuing the tradition of the last four years, WWE will once again have two separate Rumble matches this year - one for men and the other for women. The stakes are high as always with the winner getting the opportunity to challenge a top champion of their choosing in the main event of WrestleMania 38.
