Sami Zayn has signed a new deal with WWE

In January Fightful wrote the following: "Last month, it was reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there had been contact between Sami Zayn and the WWE management regarding the new signing with WWE between the two.

Fightful Select is now able to confirm that Zayn has officially signed a new deal with WWE and has therefore been blocked for several years. A person we spoke to about this at the time reported that Zayn had wanted to keep the negotiations private, but that WWE wanted to keep his services."

SmackDown Superstar Sami Zayn has confirmed that he has signed a new deal with WWE.

Sami Zayn was involved in a short-lived storyline with Brock Lesnar

The former Intercontinental Champion stated that he chose to stay because he was happy with the company.

Interviewed by Pat Laprade and Kevin Raphael in their Led Anti-Pods De La Lutte podcast, the wrestler admitted and confirmed that he has renewed his contract with WWE and explained the details of the renewal process. “Yes, that's the truth.

Honestly, I don't know how people on the internet find this kind of information, but yes it's true, I just signed up for a few years and I'm really happy. My contract was almost over, they were interested in me staying, I wanted to stay, so it wasn't more complicated than that.

This is not the first time that I have said this, but I am really happy with my role with my company in the last few years, especially in the last year, year and a half. I'm doing the best job of my career, especially in terms of my character.

I don't know why people were really surprised. They have an idea in their heads that everyone in WWE isn't happy to be there, unhappy with their role, that they want more or feel oppressed, or don't know what. For me, I'm really happy with my role and can't wait to see what I'll be able to do in the next few years."

Although he is very happy, obviously like everyone, Sami Zayn wants even more: "Of course, every talent in the locker room, everyone, always wants more. It's normal. Even Roman Reigns who is number one in our company.

That's the way it is for everyone. So, I'm not going to say I'm 100% happy with what I have right now. I try my best, but there are things I don't 100% control. But with everything that has happened over the past year, I am really happy to stay here.

I feel the company has faith in me. They often use me in the spoken segments. I think I do a good job and I find the company recognizes my work. And that's why I'm always in a storyline. Maybe that's why some talents weren't happy because they think they never had a chance. I just can't tell. I have a lot of them and that's why I'm really happy."
