PWInsider colleagues have decided to keep the WWE Universe updated by giving some news about this year's Royal Rumble match for women, piquing the curiosity of fans and removing any doubts.
WWE is now officially on the Road To WrestleMania following The Royal Rumble and it is now clear that Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar will be part of main event matches in April. Last night's show saw Bobby Lashley win the WWE Championship just months after dropping it to Big E in 2021.
What's behind the Royal Rumble?
The first details are: “For those who asked if there were any surprises that were planned at some point, the only thing we heard was that at some point, WWE had contacted former Lana, CJ Perry. to make a surprise appearance in the Women's Rumble match, but of course that never happened. There were some in the company who thought it was going to happen as late as Rumble week, but as they approached the PPV, her name was never mentioned again." And then again: “The addition of Molly Holly to Women's Rumble was a belated addition to the idea of Mighty Molly interacting with Nikki A.S.H to help build Nikki. Since you asked, Paige wasn't at Rumble's PPV. Behind the scenes, it was an emotional scene for many of the Divas-era talents, as many hadn't been to a WWE event for many years, so they had a chance to catch up and see each other. Many of the women brought their children to the weekend, making it even more special for all attendees." On the wrestlers who were supposed to participate according to rumors and then remained in the pits, the site wrote: “As noted last night, several extra talents were brought in as a safety precaution in case someone did not pass medical protocols. Jillian Hall and Aksana posted photos and videos on social media before the PPV." And again: "Ivory was among those who shot the episodes of Table for 3 on the weekend of the PPV for the WWE Network. A number of talents who have been booked as surprises have rejected photos and requests for autographs from fans. . One of the talents literally told fans that they asked for a photo she couldn't "since she was a surprise." After the Rumble ended, it was a different story as talent was more likely to stop for fans. The belief behind the scenes was that we would probably see more with Nikki and Brie Bella for Wrestlemania 38, but no word on if or when that might happen. Neil Kaplan, Madara Uchiha's voice on Naruto, was actually the voice heard for Zelina Vega's entry."
