The first reviews on the new WWE videogame

WWE 2K has decided to post a video on YouTube where the developers explain the extensive changes made to the game system after a hiatus after 2K20. We are shown a virtual match with Rey Mysterio vs Damian Priest in the Raw ring.

With Yuke's hard at work on the first-ever AEW console game, this could arguably be 2K's most important release in the WWE 2K franchise's history. Another flop from critics could spell the end of 2Ks tenure of making WWE video games and will force WWE to find another developer for their future titles.

WWE has released a new videogame

“2K today unveiled WWE® 2K22 Ringside Report # 1, the first in an ongoing video series that offers deep dives into the game's features, mechanics and more. Ringside Report # 1 video shows WWE 2K22 gameplay and provides a closer look at some of the new advancements that make this iteration of the Hit Different franchise.

Creative Director Lynell Jinks, Art Producer Christina Diem Pham, Principal Designer Jason Vandiver, Senior Producer Jonathan Rivera and Senior Designer Derek Donahue comment on a WWE 2K22 match, pitting cover superstar Rey Mysterio against emerging phenomenon Damian Priest in more than nine minutes of play.

During the match, the Visual Concepts team highlights: New dynamic animations, only possible through the redesigned game engine, showcased by both Superstars in the ring. Superstars feel more responsive and easier to control, and every move connects more smoothly and precisely.

A revised lighting engine that showcases the extreme details of the Superstars, making them hyper-realistic. Optimized object physics allows for unexpected moments throughout the game. Kendo sticks wear out with every hit, and corner tables and barricades break dynamically to create a more authentic match experience.

Strategic defensive commands including block, dodge and demolish." We remind you that WWE 2K22 will be released on March 11, but you can already pre-order it, and on the cover is the legend, Rey Mysterio. Fans can order the Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Digital Bundle, Deluxe Edition, the Digital Edition dedicated to the New World Order nWo4 -Life Digital Edition.

If you missed the trailer and other details you can recover them in our dedicated article. It's been several years since the WWE Universe had a good WWE video game. WWE 2K20 was reviewed so badly by fans and critics alike that the company canceled WWE 2K21 to put more time into WWE 2K22 instead.

In its place, 2K released WWE 2K Battlegrounds. A repetitive, basic arcade game that lacked any kind of actual replay value. The game received mixed reviews upon release and was quickly forgotten about by fans mere weeks later.
