Is WWE slowing Riddle's explosion too much?

During his WWE career, Riddle won the United States Championship once, the Raw Tag Team Championship once, and the NXT Tag Team Championship once. On the January 10 episode of Raw, RK-Bro (Riddle and Randy Orton) lost their tag team titles to Alpha Academy after 142 days of reign.

On January 29, at the Royal Rumble, Riddle took part in the royal brawl by entering with number 20 and being eliminated by Brock Lesnar. During the next episode of Raw, Matt got the better of Omos and guaranteed participation in the Elimination Chamber match to be held on February 19 in Saudi Arabia.

There is no doubt that 'The Original Bro' has made a significant leap in quality in the last year and a half. Host of the 'Legion of RAW' show on Sportskeeda, former WWE and WCW writer Vince Russo accused the company of over-protecting Randy Orton at the expense of emerging Riddle.

Latest update on Riddle

“I've watched all the tag team meetings that Riddle and Randy Orton were involved in, so I have a very strong opinion on that. My impression is that WWE is slowing down Riddle's blast to do Randy Orton a favor.

It is as if Vince McMahon did not want to belittle the great veteran in the eyes of the public” - analyzed Russo. “As I have said many times, Matt is tough and works harder than anyone on the WWE roster. Taking too many losses alongside Randy Orton could cause him to lose momentum and irreparably damage his reputation.

It will be very interesting to see how WWE behaves with him on the road to WrestleMania” - he added. Russo scolded today's superstars for their lack of courage: “In WWE they try to convince you that you would be nothing without them.

They play with your mind and lead you in their direction. I assure you that many performers would earn much higher figures on social media than they receive in the company. Just analyze the case of Paige." RK-Bro are currently in a feud with Alpha Academy for the RAW Tag Team Championship.

It could get wrapped up in time for the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, where Bobby Lashley will defend his newly-won WWE Championship inside the dreaded structure. Orton and Riddle could both be a part of the Chamber Match, with one of them winning. This would add another level to a potential rivalry between the two of them at WrestleMania 38.
