Ronda Rousey returned as a great protagonist during the women's Royal Rumble Match on January 29, 2022 in the WWE premium live event of the same name, winning and lastly knocking out Charlotte Flair, current SmackDown champion, earning an opportunity titled at Wrestlemania 38.
Her path of choosing the opponent was quite short and in just one week Ronda had already let us know that she wanted to challenge The Queen in the main event of the most important wrestling show of the year. The two have already had the opportunity to clash in the past and also recently in a tag team match at Elimination Chamber flanked by Sonya Deville and Naomi, with the Ronda team taking home the victory.
Everything is ready for Night 1 of WrestleMania 38
Meanwhile, we remind you that for now the matches that will take place at the Showcase of the Immortals are: Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs WWE Champion Brock Lesnar - Winner Takes All
Becky Lynch (c) vs Bianca Belair - Raw Women's Title
Rey & Dominik Mysterio vs The Miz & Logan Paul
Edge vs an opponent yet to be determined While WWE has continued to call both women's title matches the Wrestlemania main event, things seem to be taking a clearer direction; in fact, FOX Sports informs us that Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair will battle in Night 1 of Wrestlemania 38, which suggests that the women's main event will be theirs since the next day there will almost certainly be Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns and not they will never even put the female title of Raw up for grabs on the same night as that of SmackDown.
FOX Sports, however, specifies: "No word at this time on whether their match will close Wrestlemania Night 1 (or Wrestlemania Saturday, as WWE will call it from now on)." So on the official status of the main event, there will still be a little wait.
