Drew McIntyre may have a surprise weapon

Drew McIntyre signed his first WWE deal way back in 2007 after spending several years in England in British Championship Wrestling. The official debut on the WWE main roster took place in 2009, but his paths parted as early as 2014.

Following a brief tenure in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, the 36-year-old from Ayr returned to the Stamford-based federation in 2017. During his WWE career, McIntyre held the WWE Championship twice, once the title of NXT once.

the Intercontinental Championship and twice the Raw Tag Team Championship, becoming the 31st wrestler in history to complete the Triple Crown. He also won the 2020 edition of the Royal Rumble match, eliminating the great Roman Reigns last.

In the latest episode of SmackDown, Drew annihilated former WWE champion Jinder Mahal in a one-way match. After the fight, Kayla Braxton interviewed McIntyre, who expressed a desire to end Happy Corbin's unbeaten streak at WrestleMania 38.

Later, the Scottish wrestler stuck his sword in the target where Corbin, Madcap Moss and their friends were playing darts.

What's next for Drew McIntyre?

In the latest edition of 'Smack Talk' on Sportskeeda, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell spoke extensively about Drew McIntyre.

“WWE has chosen a great way to end the segment. They were throwing darts and suddenly they found Drew McIntyre's sword in the wall. A pinch of creativity is needed within weeks of WrestleMania. I think it was a good solution.

I don't think Drew will ever use the sword in a match, but it must be admitted that it is really impressive” - he analyzed. On 'Fansided' microphones, McIntyre revealed some clues about his future: "I don't think I'm going anywhere.

I will stay here as long as I am able to fight at high levels. I am in the prime of my career, having debuted when I was very young. I think I have at least ten years ahead of me." Drew McIntyre had previously taken on Madcap Moss - Corbin's ally - at two different premium live events this year.

The Scottish Warrior defeated him at Day 1 and Elimination Chamber, in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. The latter match featured a terrifying spot that nearly caused serious damage to Moss. The two-time WWE Champion will now turn his attention to Happy Corbin, the two stars haven't faced each other in a singles match yet during this feud. However, McIntyre did eliminate the former Money in the Bank winner from the Royal Rumble Match.
