Al Snow pays tribute to Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio is a three-time world champion, having won the WWE Championship once and the heavyweight title twice. He has also won the Intercontinental Championship twice, the US title twice, the Cruiserweight Championship three times, the WWE Tag Team Championship four times, the SmackDown Tag Team Championship once, as well as winning the 2006 edition of the Royal Rumble match.

The 47-year-old of Mexican descent was the 14th wrestler in history to have achieved the Grand Slam and the 21st to have completed the Triple Crown. For the past two years, Rey has worked with her son Dominik to great effect.

The two will face off with The Miz and Logan Paul in the 38th edition of WrestleMania, which will take place over two evenings at Arlington's AT&T Stadium. In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, former WWE superstar Al Snow reviewed Mysterio's extraordinary career.

Al Snow praises Rey Mysterio

“Rey Mysterio has always been admired for his incredible sequences, but that's not the main reason for his success. What he really likes about Rey is his body language, his way of dealing with people and his ability to never back down, even against opponents much bigger than him.

Regardless of his size, Mysterio has always found a way to win. All these factors have made it very popular in every corner of the world” - analyzed Al Snow. “In the early years of his career, even before he came to WWE, Rey's repertoire was much larger.

When he came to Stamford, he adjusted to the new context and started using only three or four really important moves ”- he added. In the latest edition of his 'Hall of Fame' podcast, Booker T revealed how Mysterio's career could end: “I expect a memorable ending.

He has already had the chance to work with him, his son Dominik, and it is not long before his departure from the scene. It wouldn't be a bad idea if he faced Dominik before retiring." Over the last couple of years, Rey Mysterio has competed in the tag team division alongside his son, Dominik.

The duo are currently booked as top babyfaces on RAW and heading towards a tag team match against WrestleMania 38. Rey and Dominik will lock horns with the team of The Miz and internet celebrity Logan Paul. The A-Lister kickstarted his feud with The Mysterios after repeatedly insulting them and even took it a step too far when he invoked late superstar Eddie Guerrero's name to question the real-life relationship between Rey and his son.
