Hello and welcome to the Friday Night SmackDown report. Ricochet has been the new IC Champion for a week, while The New Day will face off with the European team formed by Sheamus and Ridge Holland. In the Legacy Arena in Birmingham everything is ready, your SimoneSian on the keyboard, we can begin.
- The episode opens with the entry of Brock Lesnar! The WWE Champion, who forgot expressiveness at home today, says this week he struggled to see what Roman Reigns did to him and is now here to make him bleed and take his revenge, so he calls his rival right away to Wrestlemania on the square.
Brock Lesnar kicked off WWE SmackDown
Brock Lesnar kicked off WWE SmackDown after taking a beating from Roman Reigns to end the Madison Square Garden live show. The Beast Incarnate looked more serious and did not fool around like he had been doing previously in his current run.
Paul Heyman came out to interrupt his former client and said that his Tribal Chief was not there for the show. Lesnar asked Heyman who would be protecting him if the Tribal Chief wasn't in the building and chased after him backstage.
PAUL HEYMAN IS COMING! Obviously. The lawyer tries to calm people down and announces that the Tribal Chief is not present this Friday, but Brock silences him and replies that he knows him more than anyone else. If Roman really isn't there, who will protect him though? The champion sets off in pursuit of Heyman, but the Mad Genius still manages to reach the parking lot and escape by car, thanks also to the intervention of the security that slows the Beast a minimum.
RAW Superstar Austin Theory will spend the remainder of his WrestleMania season on SmackDown, as he was Vince McMahon's handpicked opponent to face Pat McAfee. If one provocation last week wasn't enough, this week, Theory made McAfee's blood boil enough for him to launch an assault.
Everything about this story is well done. From the genuine concern of Michael Cole, who kept urging him to keep cool, to Austin Theory's obvious and infuriating provocation, this has all the makings of a classic. Keith Lee is one of the many names who departed from WWE and landed up in AEW.
The former WWE superstar, who recently appeared on the latest edition of Talk is Jericho, discussed the 2020 WWE Royal Rumble with Jericho. At the pay-per-view Royal Rumble 2020, Brock Lesnar eliminated the first twelve contenders all by himself and was on a roll.
