Johnny Gargano makes a surprising revelation

During an interview with Renee Paquette on her podcast The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Johnny Gargano came back to mind when he got a call to participate in Monday Night Raw in 2019. "Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa were making history at NXT and everything was going great and then the next thing I know is I'm getting a call saying I'll be on Monday Night Raw and they're calling me on Raw and SmackDown," Gargano ha remembered.

"We had no idea. I was literally in Cleveland, Ohio. I was at my dad's birthday party. 'It's going to be a great weekend. I can have fun. I won't fight for a while. says, "Monday night you'll be on Raw, Monday, you're officially called to rise.

I'm North American Champion right now. Tommaso is the NXT champion. We're literally building a match between us. What's going on?"

What's next for Johnny Gargano?

Johnny Gargano recently hinted that he might be returning to the ring soon.

The former NXT Champion took to Twitter to state that he was working out to wrestling theme songs. In his brief post, he teased his desire to come back to the ring. "You know when I start working out to wrestling theme songs..

the itch is slowly starting to come back..," wrote Johnny Gargano. Then Gargano continues talking about his debut: “Ricochet, Aleister Black, Tommaso and I are randomly called to Lafayette, Louisiana... the worst. If you live in Lafayette, Louisiana, I'm sorry.

Bad crowd. Not the best place to debut with four people from NXT. Maybe New York, Chicago, one of those markets where the fans are pretty smart. But I literally had to text Tommaso and say: 'Hey, you can go to my house'

because I don't have any gear. I'm in Cleveland. I have to fly from Cleveland to Lafayette the next day. 'You can go to my apartment', we had to talk to each other on FaceTime, 'Go to my apartment and get my stuff.'

I had to use FaceTime with Tommaso and say, 'Ok, take that suit, take that shirt, take that.' He took everything, packed it and brought it to me in Lafayette. I think it was one of the saddest flights he ever made.

" While he is grateful for these opportunities, Johnny prefers to have more building with these main roster calls: "I'm always in the mindset of how, if you want things to be successful, you need to plan and there is a need for long-term storytelling.

, of a long-term plan. I felt that what we were doing really well at NXT was telling long-term stories that people were involved in and I feel like in wrestling if you have a plan, most of the time, it will work."
