*Spoiler* Tremendous injury for Rick Boogs

The first night dedicated to Wrestlemania 38 has now gone to the archives, but it brings with it, as every year, also consequences. Not all the matches of the first evening dedicated to Wrestlemania ended as they should have, with one of the disputes that saw a small, but painful hitch, which forced the finale into a quick change of plans.

We are talking about the match valid for the tag team titles of the blue show, of Friday Night Smackdown, with the pair formed by the champions, the Usos, who went to challenge the team formed by Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs with the two faces that were in full favor of the public, to go and defeat the twin allies of the Universal champion, Roman Reigns.

During the final phase of the match, however, Boogs suffered a bad knee injury, which literally gave way under the wrestler's weight, causing his quadriceps to tear in the knee patella. As Boogs tried to lift both of Smackdown's twins, in fact, his knee gave out, immediately making fans understand how serious the situation was and not part of the match storyline.

The match in question then ended in a hurry, with the Usos pinning Nakamura, in what seemed to be a final change at the last second, as confirmed by Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer.

The Usos thus maintained their Smackdown duo champion titles, with Rick Boogs instead being escorted backstage by WWE medical staff and road agents, due to his inability to walk on his own. Within minutes of the end of the match, Michael Cole, from the commentary table of the show, revealed how Rick Boogs found the quadriceps laceration at the level of the patella, with the wrestler now having to undergo surgery to fix it.

problem and therefore will have to stay out of the picture for some time. The SmackDown Tag Team Championship match kicked off Night One of WrestleMania 38 as Rick Boogs & Shinsuke Nakamura looked to dethrone The Usos. The title match went along just fine until Boogs decided to lift Jey and Jimmy Uso upon his shoulders for a double Fireman's Carry.

Unfortunately for the star, his knees buckled, and he came crashing down on the mat. The untimely injury affected the match as The Usos, and Shinsuke Nakamura wrestled for a few minutes before going straight to the finish, which was also reportedly changed at the last minute.
