Bully Ray gives advice to Cody Rhodes

After facing Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes recorded a thrilling promo on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. The former AEW star has revealed that he plans to become world champion in the future, even if it will not be easy to dethrone Roman Reigns.

'The American Nightmare' returned to WWE to general amazement after making the decision to leave All Elite Wrestling. The 36-year-old from Marietta had been one of the founders of AEW along with the Young Bucks, as well as serving as executive vice president.

During his previous WWE stint, Rhodes had won the Intercontinental title twice, the WWE Tag Team Championship three times and the World Tag Team Championship three times. In the latest edition of the 'Busted Open Radio' podcast, WWE legend Bully Ray highlighted a problem in the promo recorded by Cody on Raw.

Bully Ray reflects on Cody Rhodes

“WWE fans tend to be younger than those who watch All Elite Wrestling shows. Cody Rhodes has a very large vocabulary and often uses words that are not easily understood by everyone.

I think he should use simpler language in WWE, as people don't have a vocabulary at hand. AEW fans are older and more experienced, as well as more sophisticated. The WWE product is now intended for families” - explained Bully Ray.

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T was not so surprised by the breakup between Cody and AEW: “All Elite Wrestling has always had a lot of people in charge, it was inevitable that some disagreement would emerge sooner or later.

You can't have that many roosters in the chicken coop and expect everything to always be for the best. I'm not familiar with the facts, but some friction may have surfaced between Rhodes and the management. I doubt that - within the AEW - they are all as happy as they were on the first day.

At the same time, hardly anyone imagined that Cody would be the one to leave”. During their match, Cody took Kevin Owens close to the barricade and then used a little assistance from a fan. As it turns out, the fan was Ata Johnson - The Rock's mother.

She held Kevin Owens from behind while Cody punched him. Rhodes and Ms. Johnson also hugged each other. It was a brief interaction, but the WWE Universe loved the overall idea. Later, Cody Rhodes took to Twitter to say that he needed a mom's assistance there.
