Last night we reported that according to the well-known site Fightful, WWE's said to have fired Nash Carter, one of the members of the MSK tag team at NXT, after some accusations made by his wife Kimber Lee, quite heavy.
Although WWE has not made official the dismissal publicly at the time of writing, it seems to have been done and two other well-known wrestling journalists have also talked about this. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed the situation with Carter's wife, Kimber Lee, who made allegations of abuse and posted a photo of Carter imitating the dictator Adolf Hitler.
Backstage news on Nash Carter
What is the real reason WWE released MSK member Nash Carter? According to recent reports, the former NXT star may have been released due to a highly insensitive and controversial photo that resurfaced online.
This was the conversation between the two, started by Alvarez: Alvarez: It turns out today that Nash Carter who is half of the NXT Tag Team Champions was fired and obviously there were a lot of allegations of abuse and there was a photo that surfaced of him dressed as Hitler and I think the most surprising thing about it to me is that there were rumors about this well over a week ago, to the point where he worked on NXT last week.
I thought, 'well, it will probably be his end.' And then Saturday came, and they won the duo titles. And now here we are and he got fired." Meltzer: "This is a really weird situation because he was fired for Hitler's photo.
The other charges are not what he was fired for. You have to understand that Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon has had allegations against him multiple times over the years. So if he is to believe that Carter is innocent, then he must assume that other people who claim to be around her may be innocent.
So he's not one who will fire everyone the moment someone says something. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I'm just saying this is the situation." WWE has yet to publicly acknowledge Carter's firing beyond confirming it to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful when he reached out to confirm.
MSK was scheduled to defend their titles on NXT 2.0 next week against Grayson Waller and Sanga. Dave Meltzer went on to confirm that Nash Carter was fired from WWE not because of the abuse allegations but because of a picture of him dressed up as Hitler instead.
