Booker T pays tribute to Kevin Owens

In this week's post-WrestleMania edition of "The Hall of Fame" podcast, Booker T said he was pleased with being inducted into the Sharmell Hall of Fame. The WWE legend also talked about the match between Kevin Owens and Steve Austin of WrestleMania 38.

Booker T is excited about the 30-minute showdown between AEW Rampage and SmackDown and wants WALTER to be brought in by WWE to beat AEW in the rating war.

Booker T comments on Kevin Owens

On Sharmell's entry into the WWE Hall of Fame: "Behind the scenes, they took great care of my queen Sharmell.

I was really pleased with my queen. They tried to get her to that place through safe passages. She went out there and represented the Huffman family really well. I was just a fly on the wall who had a chance to enjoy the festivities like everyone else."

On Kevin Owens and Steve Austin's match at WrestleMania: “Kevin Owens is an amazing athlete for the incredible work that he did that night. Seriously, Kevin Owens, and I've been saying this for a long time now, is one of the best guys on this roster.

He represents in full, professional wrestling. He is what a true pro wrestler does. When I saw the start of that match, I just saw Kevin Owens' magic. Stone Cold Steve Austin definitely played the part of him. He played the part of him really well.

But for me, if I were to go back to a match like this, I would definitely face a guy like Kevin Owens or Seth Rollins. I need one of those two guys who really know what this business really is. I can't speak highly enough of Kevin.

He goes out there and takes care of business big time. Stone Cold Steve Austin returned to Dallas and gave Texas fans so much. Back where his career began. He went out there and did it like a champion and I respect him for it."

On Cody Rhodes instead, he revealed: "I just hope it changes something for the future of WWE as well. I think we needed someone we could talk about later to kickstart a change. We needed someone like Cody Rhodes and now he's here.

the federation is going in a different direction now." On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed the head-to-head battle between SmackDown and AEW Rampage this coming week. The two-time Hall of Famer thinks WWE should go all out to show AEW what they're battling with.

"It's definitely going to show who's eyes are on the product this weekend. Competition, that's what I said before, is good. For WWE to say, 'Hey, we're going to run an extra 30 minutes to show these guys "What's up."

' That's a bold step as well. I don't think WWE is going to be backing down anytime soon from AEW. I just don't see that. I think, bumping it up and bringing in the big guns is nothing that WWE is not familiar with. Let's get ready to rumble," said the WWE legend.
