Ronda Rousey was deceived by Charlotte Flair in the 38th edition of WrestleMania, which took place a week ago at Arlington's AT&T Stadium. The former UFC star appeared in the latest episode of SmackDown, again challenging Charlotte to an 'I Quit Match' at WrestleMania Backlash.
Although the legendary Ric's daughter refused sharply, 'Rowdy' promised her rival that she would make her scream in her pain. The 35-year-old from Riverside began her wrestling career in January 2018 when she signed her first deal with WWE.
She debuted on April 8 at WrestleMania 34, defeating Stephanie McMahon and Triple H paired with the legendary Kurt Angle. On August 19, at SummerSlam, she took down the WWE Raw Women 's Championship and held it for 232 days.
After nearly three years of absence from the ring, she made her return on January 29, 2022, winning the women's Royal Rumble match. In the latest edition of 'Smack Talk' on Sportskeeda, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell criticized Ronda's attitude after her mocking defeat at the 'Showcase of the Immortals'
Dutch Mantell talks about Ronda Rousey
"Ronda Rousey needs the help of the WWE management, otherwise her character is not very credible" - began Mantell. "I was expecting a possessed Ronda after being cheated by Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38, but I even saw her smile during the last episode of SmackDown" - she added.
Dutch pointed to Rousey's shortcomings on her microphone: “When she has to record a promo, she is so insecure that she is unpleasant. She hesitates, she freezes, she tries to remember the words written on the script and the audience notices.
Some superstars are unable to speak in front of such a large audience. Maybe they do very well in the locker room because there are few people and the pressure is much lower. When you are in front of the crowd with the camera on, it's a whole different story."
WWE's next pay-per-view - WrestleMania Backlash - will take place on the Italian night between 8 and 9 May. During her latest Facebook gaming stream, Ronda Rousey joked that she'd stay in WWE until she and her husband Travis Browne were ready to have another child.
The couple welcomed their first daughter, La'akea Makalapuaokalanipō, in September last year. "Yes, I am staying [in WWE after WrestleMania 38]. I’ll be staying for a while. I just had a baby. I’m not ready to have another one yet so, I’ll be staying around ‘till we’re ready for number two, or four," said Rousey.
