Raw: A titled match has been announced for the next episode of Raw

A new episode of Monday Night Raw aired this week with the red show continuing its build ahead of the upcoming WrestleMania Backlash PPV. Just seven days ago and precisely in relation to the aforementioned PPV, Sonya Deville publicly declared that she was the new challenger to the female title of RAW, or the one held by Bianca Belair.

Unlike what we could have expected, however, this important titled match will not be held in the paid event in May, but during the next episode of RAW which will take place in Knoxville, TN, hometown of the reigning champion.

This is the first one on one match between the two, but also the first single match for Sonya after some time. Deville has been holding this on-screen executive position for more than a year now and we will soon find out what consequences there will be for her immediately after this titled match.

Latest news on Raw

Seth Rollins kicked off Raw and invited Cody Rhodes to join him in the ring. Rollins told Rhodes that he spent so much time trying to make it in WWE but all he needed was one match with The Architect to put his name on the map.

It is also the first defense for Bianca Belair after winning the belt in WrestleMania 38 Night 1 when she defeated Becky Lynch after a run-up match during the 2021 edition of SummerSlam. With the latest edition of the Showcase of Immortals, WWE has made it clear to the public how much they care about Bianca and how much they consider her a successful weapon within the product.

In fact, Belair triumphed in WM both last year in the main event of Night 1 against Sasha Bancks (she won the SmackDown women's title) and this year raising the title of the red brand to the sky. If the one against Deville seems like a battle that has already been won and put in the safe, then it is legitimate to ask you readers, what do you think will be the next challenger capable of worrying and seriously endangering the reign of the EST of World Wrestling Entertainment? Will it be Rhea Ripley? Or even a name from NXT 2.0? Will she be a full-fledged rookie? The possible choices/sentences are up to you.
