In the days leading up to the 38th edition of WrestleMania, former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley made his return to the red show to meet Omos's challenge. The two then officially challenged each other in the "Showcase of Immortals" with Lashley triumphant over AJ Styles' former ally.
In the following weeks, however, other developments gripped this feud with even the MVP who turned his back on the multiple world champion to join forces with the giant Omos. While waiting to find out what kinds of developments this story will take, a fun segment was announced last night in RAW and will take place next week.
An Arm Wrestling Challenge will be staged in Knoxville, a real challenge of strength between Omos and Lashley. It is certainly not the first time that a similar segment has been staged, one of the most famous that comes to mind is the famous challenge aired over 15 years ago between Triple H and Scott Steiner, but also that between the same MVP and Matt Hardy to SmackDown and the list can only go on.
New details on Omos
Omos recently parted ways with AJ Styles despite their success as a tag team. When the pairing was first formed, The Giant mainly assisted AJ Styles during his matches. During the 2021 Men's Royal Rumble bout, Omos saved AJ Styles from getting eliminated multiple times.
He also eliminated Big E and Rey Mysterio, despite not being in the match himself. We do not yet know if the two giants of the red show will have a match in the next PPV (WWE WrestleMania Backlash ed) it is certain that the story does not seem to end here and almost certainly a definitive clash between the parties will have to take place.
We also remind you that Bobby has been absent for some time after abandoning the Elimination Chamber match valid for his WWE title in Saudi Arabia. This abandonment occurred due to an injury suffered by the former champion and, even today, he has to collect his rematch clause.
Could this be a good time to get to face Roman Reigns in a WWE Undisputed Universal Championship match? We will find out for sure in the near future.
