Mandy Rose has made considerable progress in WWE in recent months and many insiders believe she will soon become one of the company's top superstars. She performs on the SmackDown brand. On February 17, at the Elimination Chamber pay–per–view, Rose and Deville competed in a six-team Elimination Chamber match for the inaugural WWE Women's Tag Team Championship where they started the match against Sasha Banks and Bayley and were then the final team eliminated by Banks and Bayley who won the match in the process.
Shortly after Elimination Chamber, Rose earned herself a title match for the SmackDown Women's Championship after she defeated Asuka in a non–title match. On March 10, 2019, at Fastlane (2019), Mandy failed to capture the championship after Sonya accidentally cost her the match against.
During a recent interview with The Mirror, Mandy reflected on the possibility of becoming champion: “I would make it relevant again because unfortunately sometimes this happens, and there can be more talk of one brand than the other."
She continued: "Coming up this Sunday is my first singles match on a pay-per-view, and there’s a lot of pressure for me to perform. Obviously, I know that I’m ready and I know what I’m capable of, I have the confidence and I know I’m going to do my best to win that SmackDown Women’s Title”.
