Smackdown: WWE announces a new match for WrestleMania Backlash

Now the Wrestlemania chapter and the related Wrestlemania Week have been largely archived, WWE is also building its next ppv week after week, that is WrestleMania Backlash, its special event with the name of the show still inside, at a distance of about a month of the most anticipated event of the year by fans around the world.

In the last few hours, WWE has confirmed that the main event of this pay-per-view will be a 3 vs 3, with Roman Reigns who will once again ally himself with his younger cousins, the Usos, to face the trio formed by the Raw couple champions, RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre, after the fist fight that emerged in the rings of Friday Night Smackdown, in the last episode of the weekly show on Friday night (which had been recorded a week earlier, due to the European tour of the company).

Apparently, WWE's said to have several other buzzing plans for Backlash and for the weeks immediately following, with the company's latest local and national publicity featuring a new titled contest, valid for female tag team champion titles.

of the main roster.

New details on WrestleMania Backlash

WWE's upcoming premium live event, WrestleMania Backlash, is just days away. The show will emanate live from The Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island on May 8.

In the last few hours, the WWE wanted to confirm its next chapter as regards the women's section also nationally and internationally, with the champions of the main roster, Naomi and Sasha Banks, winners of their multi-team match of Wrestlemania 38, who they will defend their belts from the assault of Natalya and Shayna Baszler in the company's post-ppv episode.

With a quick graphic passed on TV, WWE has therefore formalized another titled match that will be staged immediately after the special event on Sunday 8 May, with the episode of the blue show of the week before, which will instead see a tag team on stage.

tables match between New Day and all-European Fight Night. Who knows if the first post Wrestlemania Backlash chapter will not open with two new champions on the WWE main roster? Although the show features several rematches from WrestleMania 38, there is no denying that the match card looks stacked.

However, WWE would have to be on top of their game or the event could turn predictable and stale. While it was speculated that Roman Reigns might face Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania Backlash, it seems WWE has other plans.
